  • A huge thank you from myself and Michael. Our wedding day was the most magical day I could ever have dreamed of. The entire day flowed so wonderfully we were able to really let our hair down and celebrate. We had so many compliments on how beautiful High House is and we hope that we get to return as guests for someone else’s wedding! A massive thank you to Hayley and Jessica, knowing they were there to keep the day running smoothly meant I was able to really relax and have a stress free day. I couldn’t ever put into words just how grateful I am. Everything with High House has been genuinely perfect from start to finish and I’m so sad it’s all over now!

  • We would like to pass on our hugest thanks and appreciation for the most incredibly memorable and perfect wedding day. From the minute we started viewing venues, yours stood out by miles and nothing else compared. We can truly say we couldn’t have chosen a more perfect venue for us. From the second we viewed the venue for the first time to the very last second we left the venue the morning after our big day, the service and friendliness we experienced was out of this world. Every member of staff we had the pleasure of working alongside was so helpful and passionate about what they did, from the coordinators to the bar staff to the cleaners and gardeners. Our day ran like clockwork and the organisation, experience and knowledge of all at High House meant that the planning process was stress free. Our coordinator Abbie was incredible and was there every step of the way, reassuring and encouraging. She was even hid behind the top table scrubbing a stain from the bottom of my dress during the wedding breakfast! Every single guest was amazed at the venue and did not stop complementing the friendliness and enthusiasm of all of the staff. The food from Valentines was also simply fantastic and our guests said it was the best and most filling wedding food they had ever had. We literally could not fault the day in any way and we are so very grateful for the most amazing memories of our big day. The best venue there is!   • THANK YOU SO MUCH! From the minute we walked into High House we both looked at each other and said “This is the venue”. High House just has such a perfect aura about it and we couldn’t have asked for more on our wedding day. Ella was just incredible- from first meeting her, to our meetings and emails back and forth, she was so unbelievably organised and such a great person! The whole team are brilliant, valentine cuisine were absolutely exceptional and it was truly the best day of our lives. Thank you for everything!

  • Where do i start...High House from the moment we walked in, we just knew it was the Venue for us. Abbie & the High House staff are just real supermen and woman to the wedding industry, a true credit they really are. Our day was so perfect from start to finish and that is all down to the staff at High House. The grounds are so beautifully kept by the wonderful High House Gardening Team and all our guests said it was the best wedding they had ever been to. It was truly a real life fairytale, the day i have always been dreaming of since a little girl. So thank you High House for making our dreams come true.

  • THANK YOU HIGH HOUSE. We couldn’t have had a more perfect wedding day & experience throughout our whole wedding planning. It started when we viewed the venue and fell absolutely in love, we knew it was the perfect fit for us. Everyone you deal with at High House is amazing, from booking our wedding right up to on the day, the team were fabulous, friendly & professional. We felt like the team on our wedding day were part of our guests as we all enjoyed chatting away to them so much! A special thank you to our wedding coordinator Abbie, you made us feel so well looked after, our day couldn’t have run more smoothly- you are amazing! The venue it’s self is beautiful, the grounds are so well kept, the interiors are flawless and there is attention to detail in every corner you look. All of our guests (& there were a lot of them!) said how blown away they were with venue and that it was one if not the best venue they had attended a wedding at. The food all catered by Valentine Cusine was absolutely amazing it was so tasty & fresh. A special mention for the evening wood fired pizzas, they were the best pizzas we’ve ever had! We are just so happy we chose High House and we can’t sing their praises enough.

We completely fell in love with High House. 1 pandemic, 2 cancellations and 1 baby later, we finally had our wedding day and it was the day of our dreams.   • My husband and I married at High House last weekend and we couldn’t possibly recommend them enough. Throughout the whole (covid-delayed) process they were so flexible and helpful. The day itself was incredible. Not just the beautiful venue and amazing food from Valentine but our planner (Hayley) and the whole team were amazing, so helpful and happy. Everything about the entire day was perfect. So many guests were telling us it was the best wedding they’d ever been to, so thank you so so much to the whole High House team for making it such a wonderful day.

  • We recently got married at high house (after having to postpone a few times) and the whole team there were amazing throughout the whole process making what could have been so stressful so easy and relaxed. Our wedding coordinator Sam went above and beyond to ensure our day ran smoothly and with no issues at all. The venue is the most stunning venue you will ever see!!! All the staff on the day were amazing and all our guests commented on how amazing the venue and staff were!

  • Literally had the most magical and amazing wedding here at high house. The venue is just beautiful and is so well maintained. Due to Covid we did have to postpone the wedding a few times but high house were so accommodating about this and in the end it was all worth the wait! Hayley has been amazing from start to finish, even making suggestions which made the day even more perfect so we are so thankful for that! On the day she felt like part of the family, along with many of the other staff and suppliers at high house making us feel so at home on the biggest day of our lives. All of the guests raved about the venue and how special it is, and now we’re hoping one of them will get married here in the future so we can return all over again. We really feel privileged to have had the honour to marry at this venue and want to say a massive thank you for making our dreams come true!

  • I dreamed of a perfect day filled with love and Laughter and things pretty. That was exactly what I got. from the moment we view High House and met Sam, we just knew it was the venue for us. location is absolutely breathtaking! The venue is quite simply stunning and Sam made organising a dream. Everyone of our guests were blown away with how beautiful it was and how perfectly the day ran. and OMG the food...just wow.   • It has been a few days since our wedding now and we are still so overwhelmed by the wonder and magic of our day at High House. From the moment we stepped through the doors on our first viewing in 2019, the venue took our breath away. The stunning grounds, the incredible barn and marquee but - most importantly and notably for us - the comfort and love of the family and staff that own and run it all. We loved its story; the fact the venue developed from a family home into a magical place where hundreds of couples now stand and say their vows… we just knew we had to become one of them. First of all, we would like to thank Jean, our wedding planner. Wow. You were incredible from start to finish. Answering our emails and queries at any given time of day. Texting and calling us… putting us at ease and making us laugh! Owning that ingenious clipboard! And who can forget the sun dancing!! not only did WE love you, but our family and friends did too. You stayed with us all day, from getting ready to our night time walks. Mingled with our loved ones during dinner, hugged us, gave me the nudge up the aisle I needed when I began to wobble with nerves! From the bottom of our hearts… thank you. We must also give a huge shout out to all of the staff who worked with us on our day. The lovely ladies who held up the screens so I wouldn’t be seen approaching the barn were so blooming lovely I could have cried!! The bar staff who complimented us all day. The lovely lady who got on her hands and knees and scrubbed the dance floor covered in glass because one of our ushers had a few too many thank you to each and every one of you!! High house also have a recommended list of suppliers which we found incredibly useful. Every single supplier we chose to work with was absolutely fantastic and we honestly couldn’t have wished for better. Valentines Cuisine was exceptional. The food was such high quality and we were so impressed with the portion sizes. Adrian - in particular - was a stand out; thank you for being so kind and lovely throughout the planning process and on the day itself, serving guests and giving my husband and I such lovely feedback!! We must also commend John (pure image), a truly calm and lovely man, who was a stand out with his incredible night time photographs on the bridge, as well as Sam, (Samantha May Floristry) who is just a breath of fresh air and gave us the most stunning wedding flowers I’ve ever seen. A huge shout out also to Vicky at Pink face cakes who made us our delicious cake, as well as Phil at Phillip Smith Visuals who, for someone who is filming you all day, was relaxed, calm and kept us so at ease. We would highly recommend them all. Finally, the feedback from our guests was truly phenomenal. Obviously, we love High House, but you never know what your 90 odd guests are going to think! As well as all the comments we received throughout our day, we have been inundated with messages and phone calls since about how wonderful everything was. It just made our day even more special that all of our favourite people loved it all as much as we did. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you so much for giving us the best day of our lives so far... despite the rain! You have started our marriage in the best way possible!!

  • ‘‘Well nearly a week after getting married at High House on 16th August we are still on a definite high. This is simply the most amazing venue. It's beautiful, it's in a stunning location, it's immaculately looked after. And that's just talking about the grounds. Every single other last little detail has been thought of to make your wedding day run smoothly, perfectly and full of love and fun. From the bridal dressing room through to the cottage at the end of the night and everything in between! And the people were just perfect too. Both during last year when we had to postpone our wedding and for the buildup to our big day this year Kate, Sam and the others have been so supportive. but most of all Hayley. Hayley we couldn't have been happier that you were chosen to look after our day. Answering every single one of my 'oh just one more question' emails, embracing my theme and organisation style, and on the day being anywhere and everywhere for everyone, whilst being unobtrusive and professional. You simply were amazing. A big shout has to go to Valentine's Cuisine, Tom the DJ and Roll Out the Bunting, all of whom were High House recommended partners. But also the fact that you made Happy Hippie Photography, Hair Affair, Simply Stunning Flowers, and Squidger and Watson Cakes feel so welcome too.   • ‘‘Where do we even start?! We got married at High House yesterday and all i can say is WOW. My husband & I would like to thank every single person at High House, from the moment we chose the venue up until the big day was as stress free as possible and we were always kept at ease and kept up to date considering not knowing what would happen throughout the covid lockdowns. The venue is absolutely stunning, so clean and beautiful. Every part of High House is picturesque!! A big thank you to all of the bar staff, valentine cuisine, Samantha May Floristry, Pinkfacecakes and John Thompson (pure image) who were all recommended by High House & were absolutely amazing! We would also love to say a massive massive thank you to Jean!   • ‘‘When we first had to change out date pre covid I thought it was the end of the world! Little did I know we'd be rearranging the whole wedding 4 times over. Sam & Kate having to listen to my tears on the phone & being so calm and amazing helping us in the situation we were faced with in their own time of worries too. To the amazing Hayley who we were so lucky to have had as our event planner with us on Sunday. Everything was amazing more than we ever imagined. We knew this time was our time & what a day it was.   • ‘‘I’m sitting here trying to put into words about our high house experience and I am struggling because everything was above my expectations… how do you choose what to say!? Firstly and most importantly I would like to thank Jean, our wedding venue planner/organiser who made our dream a reality. Like most couples we were effected by the pandemic and had to move our wedding date from 28th August 2020 to 30th July 2021 and as you can imagine as a bride during these tough situations I was going through a lot of stress and anxiety worrying about restrictions and wondering if the wedding would go ahead. Jean throughout all those months worked with me answering my questions all times throughout the day now matter how many there were and worked closely with my suppliers ensuring I had nothing to worry about on the day making sure everything ran smoothly. The day itself was nothing but magical. The grounds were beautiful and even though I sadly couldn’t get married outside (as just my luck it was the windiest day of the week along with the rain!) I was still able appreciate all the beauty and get many photos across the grounds. Following on I would like to thanks all the bar staff for their great service and Valentine cuisine for our amazing food, we didn’t have one bad thing to say about the food and the guests would agree with some even quoting “it’s the best wedding food I’ve ever tasted” Lastly, thankyou to Kate who also kept in contact through the pandemic and answered any questions I had promptly and giving me comfort where needed. I now have wedding blues and I do wish I could go back and do it all over again. I honestly couldn’t recommend this venue enough - 5 star service throughout the whole day and the past 18 months. I can’t wait to share my professional photos with you but please see a few for Jean & high house! P.S. it was nice to have the high house cat join our reception!’’

  • ‘‘Wow! Where to begin!? We got married at High House last week and are still on such a high after the most incredible day. As soon as we viewed this venue we knew it was where we would get married. Not only is it a stunning, unique and special venue but you can also feel the love and care that goes into it from everyone you meet. We had a long journey to our wedding day after postponing multiple times due to Covid and we absolutely cannot fault the way Kate and the team handled everything - they kept in contact the whole time and worked with us to find solutions in such a caring way to ensure we could have the day we had hoped for! Hayley was our wedding planner and all we can say is - SUPERSTAR!! During the whole planning process she has been such a delight to work with. So much of the planning and logistics were taken care of for us which meant the process was really enjoyable. And on the day itself Hayley was the reason everything ran so smoothly. I have never seen anyone work so hard with a smile on their face even at the end of such a long day! All of our guests have commented on what a stunning venue it is and how good the food was - many telling us it was the best wedding they have ever been to! The attention to detail is second to none and everything has been thought of and taken care of. All of the staff on the day were amazing - very personable and good fun and this really added to the enjoyment of the day for everyone. After a tough year there were huge smiles all round and we can’t thank High House enough for providing the most perfect day!!   • ‘‘Dear Sam, Kate and every member of the High House team, Emmet and I cannot put into words how incredible our wedding day was (and we're both English teachers so that's some feat!) From the moment we first found your gem of a venue over 2 years ago, we knew it was the one for us. From the gorgeous grounds, the stunning barn, the beautiful marquee, the perfect bridal dressing room and the wonderful couple's cottage, everything was just incredible. Nothing else compared to it. On top of all that, every member of the team is just an absolute pleasure to work with. You are all amazing, so talented and so passionate. Every single one of our guests were full of praise for the venue and we were constantly being told what a great choice we'd made. It took people's breath away and I expect we'll continue to be told about how much they enjoyed the day, for many years to come. It's all thanks to the amazing team! Sam, you have been such a diamond. We couldn't have asked for more from you. We had so many difficulties in planning our day, from the covid stress of postponing, the unexpected addition of our baby daughter and the very last minute accommodation of my suddenly disabled dad but you were always there, offering support, advice, guidance, comfort...we honestly felt as though you had no other couple to deal with but us...and I know how busy you are. To say thank you will never be enough. Any couple who is lucky enough to share their days with you at High House, will leave feeling as myself and my new husband did, full of elation. From the first time we visited High House in 2018, we knew that yours was the perfect, and only, venue that we would want to get married in. Despite the struggles over 2020 and the first half of this year you have been nothing but supportive and helpful to us in any email or call we (well me, let’s be honest!) made and we honestly can’t thank you enough for everything. The number of compliments and comments about you guys and your beautiful home/ our beautiful venue that we have received from our friends and family about Friday shows you what a special thing you’ve all got going. We were impressed on how professional the team are at high house and the level of detail they plan to make our day special. Being a family run business i can certainly say they take great pride on looking after their guest. We were looked after by Jean who is a Senior Event Manager. She was very friendly and organised. She ensured that everything ran smooth and we weren’t overwhelmed on planning a wedding. Thank you Jean :) Finally, all the recommendations that High House provides for suppliers are highly rated. We under their recommendation used Pinkface cakes and Pure Image photography who were excellent. Valentine Cuisine are caterers for High House and all our guest enjoyed their food and service. I can hand on heart say that when I first started looking into weddings I fell in love with High House just by researching online and we spent months upon months looking into every single venue (no exaggeration) in Essex and London and I can truly say that I kept going back to High House, there wasn't one other venue that even SLIGHTLY compared. So much so that as soon as lockdown lifted, we couldn't wait to book a viewing and we knew from the moment we stepped into the venue that it was where we wanted to get married. After all, it's not every day you can dip your feet in a stunning pool whilst you're sipping prosecco getting ready right?! The whole day was genuinely amazing and Hayley was just the most spectacular wedding coordinator, making sure everyone was okay throughout the day and that everyone always had their drink topped up (which we mentioned on our initial meeting was something we really wanted to happen). The day itself was incredible. Not just the beautiful venue and amazing food from Valentine but our planner (Hayley) and the whole team were amazing, so helpful and happy.   • We recently got married at high house (after having to postpone a few times) and the whole team there were amazing throughout the whole process making what could have been so stressful so easy and relaxed. Our wedding coordinator Sam went above and beyond to ensure our day ran smoothly and with no issues at all. The venue is the most stunning venue you will ever see!!! All the staff on the day were amazing and all our guests commented on how amazing the venue and staff were!

  • Literally had the most magical and amazing wedding here at high house. The venue is just beautiful and is so well maintained. Due to Covid we did have to postpone the wedding a few times but high house were so accommodating about this and in the end it was all worth the wait! Hayley has been amazing from start to finish, even making suggestions which made the day even more perfect so we are so thankful for that! On the day she felt like part of the family, along with many of the other staff and suppliers at high house making us feel so at home on the biggest day of our lives. All of the guests raved about the venue and how special it is, and now we’re hoping one of them will get married here in the future so we can return all over again.   • It has been a few days since our wedding now and we are still so overwhelmed by the wonder and magic of our day at High House. From the moment we stepped through the doors on our first viewing in 2019, the venue took our breath away. The stunning grounds, the incredible barn and marquee but - most importantly and notably for us - the comfort and love of the family and staff that own and run it all. We loved its story; the fact the venue developed from a family home into a magical place where hundreds of couples now stand and say their vows… we just knew we had to become one of them. First of all, we would like to thank Jean, our wedding planner. Wow. You were incredible from start to finish. Answering our emails and queries at any given time of day. Texting and calling us… putting us at ease and making us laugh! Owning that ingenious clipboard! And who can forget the sun dancing!! not only did WE love you, but our family and friends did too. You stayed with us all day, from getting ready to our night time walks. Mingled with our loved ones during dinner, hugged us, gave me the nudge up the aisle I needed when I began to wobble with nerves! From the bottom of our hearts… thank you. We must also give a huge shout out to all of the staff who worked with us on our day. The lovely ladies who held up the screens so I wouldn’t be seen approaching the barn were so blooming lovely I could have cried!! The bar staff who complimented us all day. The lovely lady who got on her hands and knees and scrubbed the dance floor covered in glass because one of our ushers had a few too many thank you to each and every one of you!! High house also have a recommended list of suppliers which we found incredibly useful. Every single supplier we chose to work with was absolutely fantastic and we honestly couldn’t have wished for better. Valentines Cuisine was exceptional. The food was such high quality and we were so impressed with the portion sizes. Adrian - in particular - was a stand out; thank you for being so kind and lovely throughout the planning process and on the day itself, serving guests and giving my husband and I such lovely feedback!! We must also commend John (pure image), a truly calm and lovely man, who was a stand out with his incredible night time photographs on the bridge, as well as Sam, (Samantha May Floristry) who is just a breath of fresh air and gave us the most stunning wedding flowers I’ve ever seen. A huge shout out also to Vicky at Pink face cakes who made us our delicious cake, as well as Phil at Phillip Smith Visuals who, for someone who is filming you all day, was relaxed, calm and kept us so at ease. We would highly recommend them all. Finally, the feedback from our guests was truly phenomenal. Obviously, we love High House, but you never know what your 90 odd guests are going to think! As well as all the comments we received throughout our day, we have been inundated with messages and phone calls since about how wonderful everything was. It just made our day even more special that all of our favourite people loved it all as much as we did. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you so much for giving us the best day of our lives so far... despite the rain! You have started our marriage in the best way possible!!

  • ‘‘I’m sitting here trying to put into words about our high house experience and I am struggling because everything was above my expectations… how do you choose what to say!? Firstly and most importantly I would like to thank Jean, our wedding venue planner/organiser who made our dream a reality. Like most couples we were effected by the pandemic and had to move our wedding date from 28th August 2020 to 30th July 2021 and as you can imagine as a bride during these tough situations I was going through a lot of stress and anxiety worrying about restrictions and wondering if the wedding would go ahead. Jean throughout all those months worked with me answering my questions all times throughout the day now matter how many there were and worked closely with my suppliers ensuring I had nothing to worry about on the day making sure everything ran smoothly. The day itself was nothing but magical. The grounds were beautiful and even though I sadly couldn’t get married outside (as just my luck it was the windiest day of the week along with the rain!) I was still able appreciate all the beauty and get many photos across the grounds. Following on I would like to thanks all the bar staff for their great service and Valentine cuisine for our amazing food, we didn’t have one bad thing to say about the food and the guests would agree with some even quoting “it’s the best wedding food I’ve ever tasted” Lastly, thankyou to Kate who also kept in contact through the pandemic and answered any questions I had promptly and giving me comfort where needed. I now have wedding blues and I do wish I could go back and do it all over again. I honestly couldn’t recommend this venue enough - 5 star service throughout the whole day and the past 18 months.   • ‘‘Wow! Where to begin!? We got married at High House last week and are still on such a high after the most incredible day. As soon as we viewed this venue we knew it was where we would get married. Not only is it a stunning, unique and special venue but you can also feel the love and care that goes into it from everyone you meet. We had a long journey to our wedding day after postponing multiple times due to Covid and we absolutely cannot fault the way Kate and the team handled everything - they kept in contact the whole time and worked with us to find solutions in such a caring way to ensure we could have the day we had hoped for! Hayley was our wedding planner and all we can say is - SUPERSTAR!! During the whole planning process she has been such a delight to work with. So much of the planning and logistics were taken care of for us which meant the process was really enjoyable. And on the day itself Hayley was the reason everything ran so smoothly. I have never seen anyone work so hard with a smile on their face even at the end of such a long day! All of our guests have commented on what a stunning venue it is and how good the food was - many telling us it was the best wedding they have ever been to! The attention to detail is second to none and everything has been thought of and taken care of. All of the staff on the day were amazing - very personable and good fun and this really added to the enjoyment of the day for everyone. After a tough year there were huge smiles all round and we can’t thank High House enough for providing the most perfect day!! From the moment we first found your gem of a venue over 2 years ago, we knew it was the one for us. From the gorgeous grounds, the stunning barn, the beautiful marquee, the perfect bridal dressing room and the wonderful couple's cottage, everything was just incredible. Nothing else compared to it. On top of all that, every member of the team is just an absolute pleasure to work with. You are all amazing, so talented and so passionate. Every single one of our guests were full of praise for the venue and we were constantly being told what a great choice we'd made. It took people's breath away and I expect we'll continue to be told about how much they enjoyed the day, for many years to come. It's all thanks to the amazing team! Sam, you have been such a diamond. We couldn't have asked for more from you. We had so many difficulties in planning our day, from the covid stress of postponing, the unexpected addition of our baby daughter and the very last minute accommodation of my suddenly disabled dad but you were always there, offering support, advice, guidance, comfort...we honestly felt as though you had no other couple to deal with but us...and I know how busy you are.   • We recently had our wedding at High House Weddings and can honestly say it was perfect. Obviously the venue is beautiful in its own right, but what we found set High House apart from other venues was the experience it strives to offer, and absolutely delivers on. They have a winning formula of: Preparation, Experience and advice, Recommend suppliers, and Attention to detail. All this meant that the day was as smooth and effortless as possible. Every single guest felt relaxed, like nothing was too much trouble. All staff were approachable and accommodating, and within the formalities of a wedding day - everyone simply felt at home. We couldn’t have asked for more from the venue. Our wedding coordinator allocated by the venue had everything under control both beforehand and on the day. She was constantly on hand and in control so that we felt more able to enjoy ourselves knowing she was doing the worrying for us! The caterers were second to none, we had the BBQ option. Everyone remarked on how excellent both the food and wine was. The chef came round after to check with every table if they had enjoyed their meal. The bar was efficient and even remembered repeat orders. The DJ took our suggestions then went with the crowd. The facilities and grounds are all clean, well maintained and stunningly beautiful. We loved every minute, and so did our friends and family. The planning and execution put into every detail was faultless. We couldn’t have been happier, thank you High House Weddings!

  • My husband and I were overwhelmed with all the feedback from our friends and family saying what a spectacular and magical day they had, this is all down to the stunning venue and more importantly the whole team at High House. Hayley was our coordinator who we were very lucky to have, during the whole process nothing was too much trouble for her and she made me feel at ease during it all and was always so reactive, positive and just genuinely lovely. From the moment of ...arriving we felt that everything was running to plan, it was calm, enjoyable and good fun which is what we wanted most of all. We got to enjoy our day as we felt so confident in Hayley and the team and we also know we had made a good choice after being reassured at the open days and meetings. Our guests also commented on the bar team and giving them praise as there was hardly any wait (which was ideal for our guests)! Anyone who has the pleasure of having their wedding at High House is honestly very lucky, that was our thoughts. Valentines the venue caterer’s and their staff were also exceptional and we had many compliments about the food and someone even commented it was better than their wedding food at their recent wedding…. Mac from Valentines is a great asset and so personable and kept us updated during the wedding breakfast and speeches. Even my husband wants to do the whole day again! Thank you all so much for making our day so perfect and giving us the memories we will treasure forever, it has been a pleasure and we would not change one second or anything of our day.   • ‘‘I can’t recommend High House enough! Stunning venue which speaks for itself when viewing. Me and my husband had the most perfect day and the venue was a massive part of this. It was everything I could want and imagine for our wedding day. We had first viewed High House back in 2015 and as soon as I we saw it we knew it was the venue for us! We got married on 07.09.2018. You can’t fault all the staff. When you get married at High House it comes with a event manager, ours was Jean and she was amazing!! Having the event manager took so much stress away from me and was such a special touch! You have to use High House caterers Valentine Cuisine and my god was they good! We had a main menu choice of burger and chips, best burger and chips ever! I can’t stress enough how perfect High House is as a venue. We live in Kent and travelled around an hour to get married here (we hired and stayed in Creeksea barns in the run up). But I would travel longer for this venue! I’m so lucky the weather was sunny (thanks to Jean’s sun dance) and we got to have our outside ceremony! Would just like to thank High House again for giving me the most magical and perfect day.’’

Firstly we would like to express our biggest thank you and appreciation to Jean for being so amazing from start to finish with planning and running our whole day so beautifully that we never once felt unimportant. Also for being so helpful during such a hard time after the loss of Mikes father shortly before the wedding and dealing with all our suppliers which were mostly recommended by yourselves which took away a lot of pressure from us in a much needed situation. Thank you Jean. As for all the staff at High House, you were exceptional throughout and attentive at all times, we received glowing feedback from many of our guests, this was even more prevalent when a member of our guests required medical assistance. A massive thank you to you all. Mac from Valentines Cuisines who was also amazing and made us feel like royalty and was so amazing with many of our guests and making them feel special too. On that note, the food was exceptional and our guests raved the whole night about it. Emma (Bloomwood Photography) & Steve (Boutique Wedding Films) worked incredibly well together considering it was their first time meeting... they brought so much laughter and fun to our day (Even during my brother Naughty Tom canoodling with the bridesmaid his girlfriend...) we had so much fun with you both and can't recommend you highly enough. Jinks and Flicks (slow-mo booth) highly recommend these guys, a unique twist rather than just a photo booth. PianoDJ (Jon) played beautifully and we only wish we could have heard him play for longer. Fifi's Cakery... just wow... the cake was a work of art and tasted delicious. (All four tiers) TJ Weddings... extremely thankful for all their hard work, after going to her last minute due to unfortunate circumstances she pulled out all the stops and couldn't have wished for a more beautiful, elegant finish for our flowers and decor... it was perfect and just how we imagined it to be. Thank you TJ. Props Boutique... the love signs in and outside where beautiful, so many people enjoyed having their photos taken with them. When we first came to visit High House after being recommended we instantly fell in love and knew their was no other place for us... the perfect venue!!! All aspects of the grounds are breath taking and our guests can't stop saying it's the most amazing venue they have attended. We were extremely sad for it all to be over as we've enjoyed our whole experience and gained some fond memories and in all honesty going to miss the lovely Jean (don't let her go EVER... she's an asset to the venue)!!!   • ''We used High House for our wedding in July 2018. We had a beautiful, if not a bit too hot, day which allowed us to make use of the amazing setting. The whole experience from 9am when Becca started getting ready in the bridal suite to our secluded morning breakfast in the wedding cottage was amazing. We were chatting the next day and there was nothing we felt we could have improved upon. The venue was the perfect size as it allowed for guests to move around and experience the beautiful areas whilst still focussing at the marque, bar and veranda. The staff worked diligently but silently in the background, blending in with what was going on whilst making the whole day flow effortlessly. Hayley (our on site wedding coordinator) made the day personal to us and ensured we still had time to ourselves. They even went the extra step in organising for a last minute TV to show the England World Cup quarter final which enhanced rather than detracted from our day. Overall the whole experience was great value for money and I would recommend anyone who is planning a wedding to take a look at the venue and have a chat with the team.''

From day one (a year and half ago) we were welcomed to high house by Kate. Kate showed us round and answered any questions we had. Straight away we booked, we didn’t need to look anywhere else. We then had a meeting with Meg. Meg ran us through what we wanted from our day and helped us understand the order of what happens. Meg was kind and so easy to talk to. We were advised that Hayley would be our event manager on the day and so we had our final meeting with Hayley. Hayley was very bubbly and again like the other ladies she knew what she was talking about. Hayley made sure all of our final details had been sorted. So....yesterday we got married. We could not fault a thing! Staff were incredible, things ran smoothly and I did not want it to end. Hayley made sure the marquee was decorated perfectly and made sure all suppliers were dealt with. Mac did a fantastic job of announcing people for the speeches and making sure everything was good at the front of house. Tony did a great job with his team making sure the food was spot on! Harvey they DJ kindly stuck to the music we asked for and added some great songs in between to keep the party going. From the bottom of my heart I would love to thank each and every single person involved including those behind the scenes that maybe don’t get the recognition they deserve.   • ''We wanted to share with absolutely everyone what an amazing venue High House really is. From that initial first viewing, even in the middle of January - we were blown away by the warm reception we received from all the staff at High House, not just the wedding planner that was showing us around - but everybody. There is always groundsmen working on the grass and flowerbeds, which definitely shows as the scenery is just out of this world. The staff wanted to attend to our every need - making us feel like we were the only couple that have ever got married here (even though we know how extremely popular they are there!). This experience continued from the minute we stepped into the venue on that initial meeting, right until we left the venue the morning after our wedding. All the staff made us feel like no question was silly, no request was too big. They wanted to know every wish and detail we wanted to have at our wedding - and would go above and beyond to make sure they created that for us. When it came to the big day, we honestly felt like everything was so calm and under control - nothing could have ever gone even the slightest bit wrong as we were in capable hands. Hayley commented on how she thought I was the calmest bride she'd ever seen, but what would I need to worry about? I was getting ready in the most beautiful bridal cottage in the sunshine, with my mum and bridesmaids around me, everything was being taken care of with the set up of the stunning marquee, we were paddling in the amazing swimming pool - and I knew that the organisation had been planned to the letter by Hayley. She spoke to all the suppliers for us, made sure everyone knew their roles and where they should be at what time- making it totally stress free on the day, we can't thank her enough for that. Since our beautiful wedding day, everyone has commented on what an amazing venue High House really was. Our families have said they have never been to a venue where the staff are so attentive and caring. The in-house caterers Valentine Cuisine were second to none - everyone adored the food and we've had so many comments on how incredible the BBQ was. The layout of the venue made it so easy for my Nan to be moved around in her wheelchair and be at every point of the day. We used Pure Image photography and Samantha May floristry who both know High House like the back of their hand and compliment the setting perfectly. I couldn't recommend them any higher. If anyone is thinking about getting married at High House, I would be the first to recommend them - it is simply the tops!! We honestly could not find fault with anything. Thank you so much for creating our perfect day! Can we do it all again?!''

  • ''We got married at High House on the 16.09.16. We had planned an outdoor wedding and after a week of unseasonably hot weather Friday it changed, and we are so pleased it did. Being slightly darker the barn came alive. The fairy lights twinkled and my little forehead band sparkled away. It was so special and intimate and the pictures came out stunning. Once the rain cleared up we got some great pictures in the grounds that we had dreamed of doing and had the most perfect day fr...om start to finish. All the planning paid off and the little details were fantastic. The BBQ Valentines cuisine put on was delicious and we have no idea why people say you don't eat on your wedding day as we had full plates haha! It was the most relaxed day and we were thoroughly looked after all day/night. We loved going for a walk together in the evening and sharing that special time talking about how wonderful the day had been. High House took care of everything and Sam was the most lovely presence to have with us to guide us through the day. There was nothing but love and laughter coupled with great Mojitos! We always got a prompt response to our questions and Kate was extremely professional when we needed her. The venue is set in beautiful grounds and the barn is stunning! Marcus got everyone together at the right time, and Tony was kind enough to come out and greet our guests after a sit down meal. We were surprised how much everyone enjoyed the lawn games!   • ''When we came to view High House in November 2014 it was still being built and even on a grey, rainy day we could see it was going to be stunning. On the open day we knew we had chosen the perfect venue for our big day, it was so beautiful and the whole team were so cheerful and helpful. Our planning meetings were so helpful and really helped us grow the vision for our day. Both Jean and Sam made us feel like nothing was too much and thought of every detail. As for our wedding day.... we really couldn't have asked for anything more perfect! From the second I arrived with my bridesmaids, Sam made sure everything ran smoothly. The weather was beautiful and everyone was so happy and had the most fantastic day. I can honestly say our wedding was everything we imagined it to be and that is due to not only our wonderful friends and family but the brilliant High House Weddings tea and the suppliers they recommended to us. Our flowers were stunning (thank you Samantha May Floristry) and our cake was delicious and looked incredible (thank you Pinkface). Jean our wedding planner was fantastic and helped us to plan our day perfectly, the whole day ran smoothly without any hiccups and all our guests still comment on what a lovely venue and day it was. We also hired our DJ and Caterers and florist through high house and they were all amazing too. It has everything you need under one roof so need to stress and worry about finding people. It was the perfect venue for us as we have 3 children and also had a lot of children attending our wedding and they loved the lawn games and feeding the fish and geese, they were kept busy all day and we didn’t have worry once about them. I’m so happy that we choose to have our wedding here as its given us the most amazing memories.''

  • ''My daughter and now son-in-law held their wedding reception at High House on Sunday 9 August 2015. They wanted "a big garden somewhere, ideally a family home". After a bit of searching we came across High House and it ticked all the boxes: beautiful grounds, fabulous facilities, polished and professional whilst still retaining that family feel... like their cat stalking the geese by the lake at the bottom of the immaculate gardens! I cannot recommend it enough. Kate and her family are passionate about their newly established business and it comes across in everything they do. The 'Monet' bridge has produced some stunning photographs, as too have the huge willow trees. And the lovingly refurbished Essex barn is a credit to her dad and his craftsmen. Go and see it all. You won't be disappointed.''

  • ''Being a lover of the peaceful countryside, when myself and my partner came to view High House we just knew we didn't want to see anywhere else so booked our wedding in for the 16th August. We loved everything about it, the huge amount of stunning photo opportunity locations, the wildlife down at the heart shaped lake, the abundance of beautiful flowers wherever you went, the peacefulness, the fact that we could get married outside under a gorgeous thatched gazebo - where do I stop? Jean was our event planner and was superb. After hearing stories about people being pushy in order to get you to spend more, I was slightly nervous going into our first meeting but I felt so relaxed and it felt as if we'd known each other for years, and after telling her what we wanted we found that none of it was a problem and that they just wanted us to have the day we wanted, which was so lovely. We made a schedule of what was happening at what times on the day and although we did stick to it to a certain extent, the way in which everything happened was so natural with gentle reminders from Jean about when I should be throwing my bouquet for example. We used their in house caterers Valentines, who again were amazing. The food was phenomenal, so fresh and full of flavour and the staff were so great, really polite and friendly and couldn't do enough to help you. We also used the in house dj, Harvey, again he was really good also, getting everyone up dancing straight after our first dance, which as many people know it can be difficult to get people up. The day on the whole was absolutely perfect. When myself and my partner went back to the secret cottage for our overnight stay we were discussing how well everything went and how we felt just pure elation from having everyone enjoy our beautiful day with us. The little things made it for us, like seeing everyone enjoying themselves playing outside with the wooden lawn games, people wandering down to the lake to see the ducks and just generally enjoying the beautiful outside space. Overall, without a doubt this is the best wedding venue!''

It was amazing, the venue was stunning, the staff and organisational team couldn't do enough to make our day stress free, smooth and most of all fun! We got married under the gazebo, had beautiful pictures all around the picturesque grounds and then had a fun fair. This venue has it ALL, beautiful scenery, lots of options and extremely helpful staff. Couldn't recommend highly enough. We had the most amazing day, nothing was too much trouble!!
