Indoor Wedding Ceremonies

Our beautifully restored Grade II listed Essex Barn is the jewel in High House’s crown! It’s the perfect space for an indoor wedding ceremony, especially for those wanting a rustic, yet elegant vibe.

Dating back to 1750 and lovingly restored, the barn retains its wonderful character with rustic oak beams and exposed red brick. Full height windows flood the space with light, providing you with a very special setting to say 'I do'.

Yes, High House is a licensed wedding venue. You can have you civil ceremony in either the Grade II Essex Barn or surrounded by nature beneath the Thatched Gazebo.

Of course, we always welcome humanist and independent wedding celebrants. They can offer flexibility and personalised ceremonies. You can find out more about celebrant-led wedding ceremonies here.
